Our school
Small enough to know every learner.
Buffelsdale Secondary School opened in July 1977 and became a full secondary school in 1978. With around 350 learners and a close team of educators, it is a school where staff know the children in front of them.
That care shows in the results. Our teachers have run extra classes, including over weekends, to help every matric learner get across the line. In 2023 the pass rate was 95.2%. In 2024 and again in 2025, it was 100%.

The school hosts community programmes alongside the school day. This baking and catering session was part of a women's empowerment programme run with visiting facilitators.
